Ben, a native of Orland Park, IL, and a graduate of Carl Sandburg High School, had a standout wrestling career. During his time at Carl Sandburg, he accumulated over 100 career wins and earned All-State honors in 2016, placing 4th at 160 lbs in Class 3A. Ben was also part of the 2013 IHSA 3A Team State Championship and the 2015 IHSA 3A Team State Runner-Up. After high school, Ben continued his wrestling career at Ohio University, competing at the Division I level and graduating in 2020. Now living on the north side of Chicago, Ben joined the St. Patrick coaching staff in 2024 and 312 in 2025.
